Bake Those Brussels Sprouts

Posted on July 18, 2022

These “mini green cabbages” often get a bad rap, but it’s actually not their taste, but the preparation that’s the problem! When made correctly, these vitamin-packed veggies have a delicious nutty flavor that many love. Part of the cruciferous family, Brussels sprouts are known for their carotenoids, which promote eye health, and a sulfur-based compound that helps to prevent illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease and more. Next time you are looking for a different kind of snack or side, give this recipe a try.

RECIPE: Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts
YIELD:
8 servings

INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. brussels sprouts. trimmed and halved
3 Tbsp. honey
4 Tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
