Simply Safe Dining
Whitsons continues to live our mission of Enhancing Life One Meal at a Time™ by ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone we serve and connect with.

COVID-19 Best Practices
As partners with the clients we serve, our priority to is to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers. Our plan for transition requires a transparent, open communications protocol. While Whitsons continues to adhere to COVID-19 protocols in our operating plans, the CDC, health authorities, state and individual client directives are what ultimately set the guidelines on how we manage the nutrition program. Our best practices are outlined below.
TRAINING
As part of our CORE pre-opening training, our multi-tier training program, “Together Six Feet Apart,” instructs our team members on proper sanitation, personal hygiene, protective personal equipment, taking digital temperatures and identifying symptoms, social distancing, managing food safely, enhanced food packaging protocols and enforcing biosecurity procedures. In addition, all of our managers are required to be ServSafe COVID-19 certified.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
In food production areas, an evaluation is made to identify and implement operational changes that increase team member separation and restrict visitors, as appropriate. Service and seating areas are designed to accommodate for social distancing, as needed, such as installing food shields and setting tables six feet apart.
COMMUNICATIONS
We empower our managers to keep open and ongoing communication with our clients and customers. As changes or new regulations develop, our team will make sure to keep client representatives apprised immediately.
