Whitsons is committed to taking a leadership role in environmental conservation. As a company, we continuously strive to conserve and preserve the earth’s resources by recycling, reusing and reducing our global footprint. We believe we all play a critical role in safeguarding our planet.

In doing our part, our efforts include purchasing locally, using the latest technologies and techniques to conserve resources, recycling paper, plastic and metal, and encouraging waste reduction and composting. As a U.S. Food Loss and Waste 2030 Champion, Whitsons strives to reduce food loss and waste in all operations through activities targeting their prevention before it arises, recovering wholesome yet otherwise wasted food for donation, and recycling excess food for other uses, such as for animal feed, compost, and energy generation.
